When it comes to your everyday drives in Quincy, what is Chevy HomeLink® best for? HomeLink® is a smart device integration feature to keep you safe and connected while driving. Learn more with the guide below from Dale Earnhardt Jr. Chevrolet!

HomeLink® Benefits for Tallahassee Drivers

Why do Havana drivers opt into HomeLink®? With key functions like remote vehicle access, vehicle tracking, and access to home appliances from your car, HomeLink® provides extra convenience and peace of mind. Key highlights include:

  • Remote Control — Open and close garage doors or automatic gates from your car.
  • Home Security System Access — Remotely connect HomeLink® with your home security system to turn security, lights, and certain radio-frequency controlled home appliances on or off.
  • Easy Set-up — Setting up HomeLink® takes just a few minutes.
  • Compatibility — HomeLink® is compatible with almost all garage door opener and automatic gate systems, and many other radio-frequency controlled devices.
  • Control Up to 3 Devices — HomeLink® is integrated directly into your vehicle’s interior, usually near the rearview mirror. Three buttons on the device connect your car with up to three devices.
  • Safety and Security — HomeLink® looks out for your security, alerting you if you’ve left your garage or gate open before heading out to Monticello. You can also connect HomeLink® with your home’s security system.
  • Battery-Free — HomeLink® is fully powered by your Chevy’s electrical system, so you’ll never have to remember to change batteries.

How Do I Program HomeLink®?

Programming HomeLink® really is as simple as pushing a button (or two). Sit in the driver’s seat and follow these simple steps:

  1. Locate the HomeLink® unit. It’s usually found on the ceiling of your car, above the center console and near the rearview mirror.
  2. There are three buttons on the HomeLink® unit. Simultaneously press and hold the first and third buttons until your car’s interior lights begin to flash. This may take up to 20 seconds.
  3. With the interior lights now flashing, press and hold the button you wish to program, while simultaneously pressing the open/close button on your garage door opener. Your interior lights should switch from a slow to rapid flash — indicating successful programming.
  4. Exit your vehicle and press the “learn” button on your garage door opener.
  5. Return to your vehicle and press the newly programmed button for at least two seconds. You may see your garage door opener lights flash, indicating that the system is connecting.

After you’ve successfully programmed your garage door opener, pressing the first and third buttons together will now act as the master reset — so be sure not to push them simultaneously while programming additional devices in the future.
